:: Monday, September 24, 2001 :: well, got together with a few of the group, and played some D&D last night. it was good to be out with the group, and do somethign different. it was my first time as DM, and think I did a good job. we stayed focused for the most part (a rareity with us), and they got lots of experience. I was rolling lousy, but did kill one character off. OOPS. well, it happens. other than that...Renegades almost won their first game...37-36. we lost by one point. was a great game to watch. now only hope that we can do as good this week. it is overcast, and dreary today. would rather be home in bed, then here at work. oh well. life goes on.:: Thursday, September 20, 2001 :: WOW, so much time has passed, so many things have happened since I last wrote. I am almost at the end of the new job I last wrote about, at least unless they pic me up as a fulltime hire. I hope they do, just because I like the location. we had the tournament, summer has come and gone, and the world, at least for me, seems like it has turned on it head. I am still reeling, and in some ways hurting over the events of 9-11. I kept saying that I would write my thoughts and feers down here, but just couldn't bear to see it in writing. I am now doing much better, but still feel the hole in the world that has been caused by this tragedy. not to sound too star wars-y, but there is a large hole in the force from all those deaths. to have been sitting here in my office, with all the arab engineers we have, and having some of them tell me to stay and work when a building a few blocks from my apartment building is on fire, and my building could be next for all I know. I also work two blocks from the white house. so, it was a scary time for me. I was trying to get contact home to let them know I was fine. when someone finally got ahold of my dad for me, he had no idea what had happened because he was watching the history channel. anyway, I am fine, and trying to find a new way in this new world.
