Burned the background to my photos cd. now I can meet up with Jeff and get it on the page. did go home early yesterday, and got some stuff done around the apartment before heading to practice. was a vey physical night. I think our fitness coach had just seen "Remeber the Titans" or something, lots of football work type stuff. it was physical and actuall good for us. WOW! just got a call for HR at a firm that deals with Museam exhibits. I put in a Resume with them this morning, and they got back to me a few minutes ago, while I was typing this. I have an interview with them on Thursday, so see how that goes. it woudl be a great job for me as it would combine my design degree with my current job and hopefully lead in better directions than I am going in now. I feel lately that I am in a dead end position, and kinda want to get out of here. Gonna have to dress up next Thursday, been a while since I did that, and going to be a bit fishy here. well, let you all know how it works out. till then,

Found the background here at work...I was right, I did forget to move it over. well, had a fun time last night, and as usual for the Renegades, we lost. the straights had a blast, and geve the drag hostess a bit of a shock that they were str8, and one even has the wife and Kids and all that. well, we are a diverse group, but it was way fun. good way to get the guys together and have fun on an off night. the bar was packed, and I am sure they made a ton of money out of it. we drank more thena our share of Beers up on the stage, and kept calling down for more. one thing, Ruggers know how to drink :) felt it at work this morning though. in fact, think I am going to head out since I am way ahead in my work, and (KAUGH< KAUGH) am not feeling well.

till tomorrow...

Ok, fixed the background on the site. Had a new background I wanted to put on, but for some reason, I couldn't find the file. guess I forgot to move it over to the cd-rom when I made it a few weeks ago. well, find it when I go to work tomorrow, and then get it on here soon. at least now you cna read the stuff without all that pastel mucking up the view. I liked the design wne I got it, but after looking at the stuff for a while, I grew to dislike it. the new one is black with a few colored lines in it. I think it will work better. well, off to have fun. another message in tomorrow aobut the game tonight.

Well, it was a total debacle, the Ref ended the game before time, we had been thrashed that badly. other than that, had a relaxing weekend. Played D&D with Jimbo, Myra, Jon, and Brian. it was a good time and killed lots of stuff. Tonight the Renegades will play a family Fued type game against a water polo team at JR's. I hope it will be as fun as it sounds. had a rough couple of nights the past few nights, trouble sleeping and drama with Michael. Supposed to make some changes to the web page tonight, so Tomorrow it may look completely different. hope you like it.

Skins were fabulous on Sunday, about time. I guess if we have a good game, they have a lousy one, and vice versa. anyway, doing good on the fantasy league.

James has been after me to play Total Anahilation against him lately. I jsut haven't had time, and he sems to be gettign impatient with me. I just ignore it, he is a cool guy, but I have the early morning work, and he doesn't. sometimes I think he forgets that not everyone is a bartender like him. anyway, I hope to play agains some time soon, but just can't seem to find the time for much of anything lately. Rugby takes so much of my time, but I love the physical exertion from rugby.

check in again in tomorrow for the updates.

another game on Saturday, and it is on our local pitch even though it is an away game. some weird stuff going on with this one. anyway, look forward to playing and hopefully scoring at this one. had practice last night, and it was ok. had it last night to make up for the rain out on Tuesday. still exhausted from all the late nights earlier this week. Stayed up sunday reading Christopher Rice's Novel "Density of souls". it is really a good first novel, and if he can keep writing like that I'll keep reading them. though it is set in New Orleans, like most of his Mother's stuff, this had no vampires or witches or mummies in it. it is about a gay High schooler and his former friends and the events of their lives that are changed drastically by a tragedy one night and the madness that the human mind is capable of. I really do reccomend that you read it if you get the chance. it is supposed to be sort of biographical, as he is gay and had crushes on footballers much like his main character. see, I am not all about sports and kill, kill, kill.

OK, did I go see the Washington Redskins last night or the Washington Renegades?? that is not a slam on my Rugby team, but rather a slam on the Skins. they played like crap last night, and Coach Norv Turner deserves to loose his job after last night. hope the Brat owner fires him after that debacle. he should have questioned a couple of ref rulings. it may have cost him a time out, but it also might have gotten that totally partial ref to quit throwing flags at the skins. how can you be a ref and be partial to one team you are judging. the other problem last night was the supposed WUNDERKIND of the year on the team: Dion Sanders. they got him from Denver, and last night it looked like he was still playing for them. it was pittiful. Brad needs to work on his passing, after last week's numerous interceptions, he was throwing short and running. that's all good, but the couple of times he went for distance, it einded up incomplete, or in an interception. Got home at 2 am, and was up and at work on time this morning, amazingly. well, wanted to get a rant in before lunch. sure I will hear about this from the trainer at the gym this afternoon.

YEA!!! we didn't win this past weekend, but we kept the score WAY DOWN...28-0 :) played the better part of the game due to an injury...I hate to get into the game that way, but you play any way you can in this group...I don't know why the coaching staff has a low opinion of me, when I get out there and work my ass off. oh well, just have to show them all up and get that first try on american soil :) On a different note, a belated Happy Birthday to Jeff...a couple years younger then me, but his birthday is 1 september. he got to go to New York for his :) , I stayed here in DC :( Just realized that I am emoticon happy today...must stop that... :) off to watch the RedSkins tromp all over Dallas tonight, plenty of good times there, tell you about it tomorrow if I awaken...the game starts at 9, which probably means it will end at midnight, and won't get home before1...Rob will be sleepy boy tomorrow at work. well, about it for now , other than saying I wish the cutie at the gym would change at the same time as me, like to see what he's hiding in those baggy shorts :p

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD!!!

Brad Johnson's Birthday today. going to go see him and the rest of the skins kick some cowboy ass next monday. can't wait.

hope we have a better turnout at practice tomorrow thatn we did last night. if we don't we will be serously messed for the game on Saturday. we had maybe 15 guys show up yesterday, and most of them pooped out about half way through practice and just left. Captain did not seem happy about that. hate to call the game becasue theis group of queens broke a nail on Saturday. get over it, and move on. always remeber "Pain is the mind Killer"

for a random thought today, why is it we always kiss butt at work but hate to kiss butt in bed?

well, had an ok game this past saturday, but not a great one. lost again. I don't know why, but we seem to have some sort of block up when it comes to getting our shit together on the field. I was out the first half, and when we started the second half we discovered about 5 minutes into play that we were a player short on the field. just stupid stuff like that.

Then, Sunday I go into work, and the place looks like it had been ignored for a week. I went ballisitc on the Saturday Manager. he is new, but there was no excuse for it to look the way it did. Just shoddy and unconcerned. I hate that. see if he does it again this Saturday. if he does, I will really go off about it. I have been off from my sunday job for a month so I could have some time for me. now that I am back again, I need time off again. Just really haven't had Rob time lately.

Going to the Redskins game next monday with one of the guys from the Rugby team. not really a date, but just a fun time with a friend. hope they have a good game. My boy Brad's Birthday is tomorrow. go tilt up a beer for him tomorrow after work. not much else going on. Work, Gym, Rugby, and a little FUN here and there. I need to have more FUN...any boys up for some with me?

Being bad about getting on here every day, but things have been crazy at work lately. thought I had it bad with this project out in Washington state, but working on onw in West Virginia now, and it is even worse. every time I think I got it all good, something comes up and F&*ks it up.

on a different note, this Saturday is our first game of the season, and I am a bit nervous about it. not sure yet what position I will be in, but hope we can do well. of course I am of the mind that I will not be on the field...not sure why, but just the impression I am getting, not that I am psychic or anything.

Well, the surprise I talked aobut last Blogg, a Toyota Celica, did not come through. didn't get financing...not really a surprise considering how deep I got myself in trouble when I worked for that lousy theater in DC, on the corner of P and 14th, but I won't name it. well, maybe next year I can try again. try for a 2001 model.
really like to get a sprots car again. haven't had one since I got rid of the Trans-am. it was the same as Kitt from Knight rider, but Red. sweet car, and great for a first purchase, even if it was used. oh well, hopefully this weekend will be a good one.

I guess it is the fact that as you get older Birthdays don't mean as much. but I spent this weekend in front of a tv doing absolutely nothing. went out and shopped for a bit on Saturday, but didn't buy anything. It is kinda like wishful thinking for what you wish you could get for your birthday.
my fantasy football teams did ok. I got fifth in my division on one team, but am like 15000 on the other one. traded some of the players in my low scoring team. see how it goes this weekend.
hope that a surprise will come through, if it does I will be lett it be known here. let you know, untill then keep your fingers crossed, and hope for the best.
Practice tonight and our first game of the season on Saturday. don't know the roster yet, and may not till Thursday. Coach gets touchy sometimes on who will play.

God, Tomorrow is my Birthday...I don't feel another year older, though I am feeling pain this morning. But that is more to do with the fact that I must have strained something yesterday either at practice or at my workout before. Anyway, can't extend my left arm out straight (no gay jokes about it please) been slowly trying to streach it this morning, but it is still painful.
was looking through bios of my favorite QB's yesterday and found out that Brad Johnson of the Redskins is a year and 11 days older than me, so I hope that he does well Sunday for his fellow Virgo's birthday weekend. plus he is one of my QB's in my fantasy football league. The other one is my dream date -- Brett Farve of the Greenbay Packers, who is one month and 8 days younger than me. If you can't tell, I am obsessing about age and birthdays lately. I think it has to do with how much the gay community deals with age, as is shown by a friend of mine who has been 27 as long as I have know him (3 years).
Actually had a good practice last night. Had a guest coach who used to play hooker. Got a lot of good information from him on how to do my position better. hope I can use it and become better at it. Big thing he stressed is to loose the fear of falling flat on your face. Have to get some work down now.
